Lancereal provides a range of motor controllers from Curtis Instruments. These products have powerful dual microprocessors and comprehensive CAN capabilities, and are designed to provide accurate speed and torque control of electric motors.
The state-of-the-art motor controllers available from Lancereal offer efficient motor control and flexible system control: their high efficiency means that more of a battery’s energy is converted to motor output power, and real-time torque and power estimates will optimise vehicle-level power.
Flexibility is another key benefit of the motor controllers we offer. With a wide operating voltage range, they can be used with cell chemistries such as lithium ion, and with configurable CANbus and VCL, they are easily integrated with the Battery Management Systems typically found on lithium battery packs. They also boast configurable overvoltage and undervoltage protection parameters.
In addition, these motor controllers are designed specifically for the industry environments they’ll be used in. They are impervious to most solvents, degreasers, oils and chemicals found in industrial vehicles, have heavy-duty busbars for motor and battery connectors, and are built with rugged housings. These solutions are also IP67 rated and exceed global conformance requirements for EMC, electrical safety and functional safety. With thermal cutback, warning and automatic shutdown functions, both the motor and the controller are protected. Additional diagnostic functions available on our motor controller range include status LEDs for easy troubleshooting, error logging, fault history and CAN emergency messages.
They can be used as powerful system controllers that can operate as commander devices on the CANbus and support most CAN-based service tools used by industrial truck manufacturers.
