Laura Hampson
Managing Director – Sales and Business Development
After earning a PhD in Life Science Research at Newcastle University, I built a career in biotechnology. I then transitioned to engineering in 2014, and joined my family business, Lancereal.

Now, as part-owner, I lead on Lancereal’s sales and business development activity, working closely with our team, valued customers, and key suppliers to drive growth. I enjoy being involved in all aspects of the business and shaping its future.
Outside of work I love travelling, scuba diving, and off-road cycling. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, embracing new experiences, and learning from different cultures around the world.

Rob Yorke
Managing Director – Engineering & Operations
I began my journey with Lancereal in 2010 while studying at Nottingham Trent University, then once I graduated, I stepped into a full-time role as a design engineer. I’ve since progressed through the company and became a part-owner in 2024.

In my role, I head up the engineering and operations teams, leveraging our expertise in power transmission and electrification products and systems to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and embracing the outdoors—whether it’s walking the dog, mountaineering, or pushing my limits with the next marathon or cycling event.

Matt Hanson
Sales Manager
I started my career as an apprentice in the engineering sector in 2011 and I have an HNC in mechanical engineering.

Within this role, my responsibilities are to manage key accounts and the sales team. I work closely with suppliers and customers to support them and develop new technologies.
Outside of work I am a big Sheffield Wednesday fan. I also enjoy running – having completed the London and the Yorkshire marathons. Something that surprises people about me is that I have appeared in a music video which reached number five in the Christmas charts!

Danny Stringer
Production Manager
I have worked for Lancereal for more than a decade, starting my employment as an Engineering Technician. I am now the Production Manager, and I oversee all production-related activities.

In my role, I oversee refurbishments, warehouse activities and assisting with quality management. I am also responsible for Health & Safety, I am a trained first-aider and Fire Marshal.
I started my career in engineering as an apprentice in 2008, after completing this I gained my HNC in 2012.
I spend a lot of my spare time with my son who loves to play football. I also like to play snooker, gaming, and going to gigs with friends.

Jill Watson
Office Manager
My working career spans more than 40 years, the last 25 years of which have been with Lancereal. In this time, I have worked across numerous departments and therefore have extensive knowledge of the business.

This has included packing and despatching orders; processing sales and purchase orders; dealing with import and export documentation; and credit control and purchase ledger control. Now I am happily working in finance, producing reports for management finance meetings.
When I don’t have a calculator in my hand, I love to meet with friends, entertain and go out for meals. I am a prize-winning baker – and a ‘wannabe’ home and interior designer!

Richard Goldstein
Engineering & Warehouse Supervisor
I first started my career as an apprentice in another engineering company before joining Lancereal in 2019 where I finished off the final half of my Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering – CNC Machinist apprenticeship.

Once I completed my engineering course in 2021, I grew into the role of Engineering and Warehouse Supervisor where I am the programming and machine operator for both milling and turning machines and manage the machine shop. I also hold a forklift truck license.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football for my local team – Lepton Highlanders – where I’ve played for over 10 years.

Phil Hamer
Purchasing and Material Controller
I joined Lancereal in 2021 with 30 years’ experience working in the warehouse, operations, contracts and purchasing within the aerospace and electrical accessory industries. I am responsible for Lancereal’s purchasing activity, and the logistics for inbound stock.

My qualifications and experience include MCIPS, NVQ level 4 in Supply Chain Management, Leadership Architect 101, Communication & Team Building, and Performance Development – all of which showcase my passion for continuous improvement.
I am an animal lover, and, in my spare time I enjoy walking, reading, badminton and competitive snooker playing.

Systems Integration Engineer
I joined Lancereal in 2024, with five years’ experience in automotive software development.
I specialise in control system applications, ensuring seamless integration of motors and gearboxes for optimal performance.

I enjoy travel, exploring emerging technologies, and staying up to date with advancements in automation and control systems. Whether it’s hiking through nature or experimenting with the latest tech trends, I’m eager to learn and explore new possibilities.

Design & Applications Engineer
I began my career as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice at a valves and controls company, before moving to a shotblasting and ultrasonic cleaning equipment company. I then joined Lancereal in 2020.

In my role, I look after models, drawings, BOMs and routings. I also assist the sales team by providing solutions for customer projects either from existing products or by creating bespoke designs.
I have a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and a HNC in Manufacturing Engineering.
In my spare time, I love socialising. I am passionate about my car and enjoy detailing it, helping to run a car group and attending car events. I also love skiing and generally being outside.

Sales Engineer
I joined Lancereal in early 2024. In my role as a Sales Engineer at Lancereal, I spend my day-to-day assisting customers in choosing the right mechanical and electrical components for their business.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me tearing through the woods on my mountain bike or fine-tuning my Renault Clio in preparation for the next track day.

Aaron Brason-Stewart
Material Handler
In my role as Material Handler, I’m responsible for loading and unloading deliveries and collections, as well as inputting the deliveries into stock. I am also the lead fire marshal in the Unit 1 building, and manage the weekly fire checks.

As a Lancereal Engineering Technician my responsibilities are within the repair and refurbishment team, and I am heavily involved with production.
I have an NVQ Level 3 in electrical and mechanical maintenance, I am first aid certified, and forklift certified. I am also a registered Fire Marshal.

In 2020, I decided to change careers and applied to work for Lancereal as a member of their sales team. In my customer support role, I help Lancereal customers with their enquiries, process order and schedule deliveries. I also assist with logistics for outbound deliveries.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and being out in the countryside. I like to go running (not as often as I should!), eating chocolate (more often than I should!), reading, meeting up with friends and spending holidays on the beach in Northumberland.
