What attracted you to the role at Lancereal?
The company’s approach and commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in the electric drive systems space really resonated with me and to have the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects with real-world impact was a strong motivator.
What does a typical day look like as System Integration Engineer at Lancereal?
Day-to-day I work closely with different customers to integrate control systems with electric motors and gearboxes. My work includes developing and refining control algorithms, testing systems, debugging, and ensuring smooth communication across components – all with the aim of improving processes for our customers.
How has your background helped you in your role?
My background in Mechatronics and Robotics, combined with experience in the automotive software development industry, has equipped me with a strong foundation in embedded systems and system integration. It helps me understand both the hardware and software sides of the equation, enabling effective problem-solving and smoother integration workflows.
What excites you about the project you work on?
The most exciting aspect of my role is contributing to systems that directly impact the performance and efficiency of electric-powered machinery. I really enjoy working on control strategies, seeing them tested, and watching them translate into real-world solutions.
What technologies do you see emerging that could benefit Lancereal customers?
The ongoing shift from traditional mechanical systems to electrified solutions is one of the most exciting emerging trends. Electrification of machinery not only improves energy efficiency and reduces emissions, but also allows for smarter control, better diagnostics, and easier integration with modern digital platforms. Technologies like advanced motor control, sensor fusion, and real-time system monitoring are becoming essential, and they open up new possibilities for performance optimisation and predictive maintenance—ultimately delivering more reliable and future-proof solutions for our customers.
